In a professional studio in Northampton, the tutor instructs eager mixers on mash ups of musical styles and DJ techniques from traditional vinyl records to shiny revolving CDs. After selecting a three hour half day or six hour full day option, students can take their first steps towards jockeying the tracks at their favourite club with a beginners’ DJ lesson or for those already DJing, improving their current skills. Setting up equipment with up to four students, the tutor will lead pupils through the beat and pulse of mixing board skills before teaching phrasing of music and mixing points. Customers opting for something more advanced can expect to learn more about music theory and advice on how to get their demos out to the music industry. All courses will provide a certification upon completion.
