Travel first began to look up with the three-fold inventions of the aeroplane, jet-propelled trousers, and the remote-controlled albatross. Set your sights higher with today's Groupon at Virtual Aerospace Ltd. Choose from the following options:
• £99 for a half day Boeing 737 flight simulator course (56% off)• £198 for a full day Boeing 737 flight simulator course with lunch (56% off)
Helping virtual dreams to take flight, Virtual Aerospace Ltd offers promising pilots the chance to reach for the clouds with a range of flight simulator experiences in a make-believe Boeing 737 NG. With over thousands of airports to fly to and from, aspirant aviators can try the tricky approach to Kai Tak or have a go at taking 38,000 kg of cybernetic aluminium into clouds the world over.
Spending two and a half or five hours in the hotseat, begin with training that covers all the key aspects of flying, including the roles of captain, first officer, and how to use a log book. Once fully-versed in the ways of cloud surfing, strap in and take the controls, learning about aircraft configuration, preparing for take-off and departing from your airport of choice. Navigation and autopilot tricks are also introduced. Half day courses contain about 1 hour and 50 minutes flight time, while full day courses spend about 3 hours and 45 minutes 'up in the air'. Full day courses also come complete with lunch, and a qualification for the client, who will then be able to hire the simulator for solo flights in future. All clients are offered an optional 25% off the next visit.
