Housing a beautiful and varied collection of birds of prey with the countryside as its backdrop, Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre is a 42-acre centre set in stunning woodland. The habitat has been carefully constructed to replicate the animals’ natural environments ensuring birds can revel in the outdoor authenticity.
Choosing an exquisite bird of prey, customers will first be told about their choice by an expert during a talk, before being taught to walk with the bird in hand. The hands-on experience will allow clients to walk around the woodland with their bird, before watching some feathered friends swoop over their heads as they fly from perch to the falconer's gauntlet. The experience also includes entrance to the adjoining Rutland Wildlife sanctuary, excluding the big cats section.
