Run by a team of magic mascara wand waving tutors, the family run Jackie Hamilton School of Beauty covers courses and workshops for a variety of subjects, from lash extensions and make-up tutorials to facials, manicures and theatre make-up. All courses are suitable for beginners and the school is fully equipped with brushes, powders, colours and gizmos.
With personal make-up bags in tow, students can learn all the tricks of the make-up trade by getting to grips with what tones and textures work with the skin. A tutor will offer their expertise in how to use certain brushes, how to accentuate the eyes and how to make the most of facial features under the right colours and shades. The Express Lashes training course will cover a range of steps, from preparation and procedure to after care and marketing strategies, ideal for those wanting a career change to take a long, fluttery and open eyed route. Portfolios can be kicked off with a bang as students are allowed to take photos of their before and after pieces of work. A certificate of attendance will be awarded before tutees head off with their new know how.
