Snakes often stick their tongues out, which tends to ruin their family portraits. Go wild behind the camera with today’s Groupon: £29 for an introductory or macro photography class at Norfolk Wildlife Photography.
Snapping fuzzy creatures in crisp clarity, wildlife photographer Jonathan Lewis imparts his critter-framing wisdom with a lively array of outdoorsy classes. The Norfolk Wildlife Photography tutorials range from beginners’ run-throughs to nocturnal badger set sessions, and also include excursions to Tanzania and the Amazon. When not coaching up clients, the skilful Mr. Lewis focusses on work for various periodicals and sells limited prints of his best pieces.
Assembling in groups of up to ten, aspiring snappers can ready their SLR, bridge, or compact cameras for a six hour session combining indoor and location work. Those opting for an introductory class may develop their knowledge of ISO, shutter speed, and other features as they capture images on a working Norfolk farm. Alternatively, a specialist macro tutorial will bring clients up close to insects and foliage as they learn how to hone stacking skills and other advanced techniques, with the added opportunity to photograph praying mantises from around the world.
