Spa days are all about long hours by the pool and a leisurely lunch, unlike Pa days, which are spent laughing at dad's bad jokes. Hang out in the right company with today's Groupon: £28 for a spa day for two with a two course lunch and a glass of house wine each at The Hilton Nottingham Hotel.
An imposing red-brick hotel resplendent with spa facilities, The Hilton Nottingham Hotel combines the recognised ease of the brand with the personal touch of Nicholson's restaurant. The relaxation areas within the hotel include an indulgent indoor swimming pool and bubble pool, a plethora of treatment rooms and a gym for those looking to work up a bit of a sweat. Continuing the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, Nicholson’s Bar and Diner serves a delectable selection of light lunches and American-inspired meals accompanied by a carefully selected wine list.
Duos can check in for a day at the hotel, taking a leisurely dip in the pool, a quick blast of heat in the sauna or steam room, or sinking into the bubbly bliss of the bubble pool. Heading to the restaurant for their pre-booked table, customers can then indulge in dishes that include a starter such as crumb-fried calamari (£6.95) followed by a main course such as a 100% Aberdeen Angus beef burger (£15.95) or an aubergine and goats cheese burger (£10.95). Toasting their indulgence with a glass of house red or white wine, diners, can sit back and let the day unfold in sweet style.

The food and service is generally very good. There is a good choise [sic] on the menu and the portions are of a good size. If you are hungry try the fish and chips ar [sic] the seafood platter! Good range of bottle beers and cocktails, and if the cocktail is not listed then they will always try and make your request.

Stayed here for a spa weekend in October, the treatment was really enjoyable, and the food was good, staff were friendly and helpful and the surroundings were nice. The rooms themselves could do with a bit of a refurb, but the beds were comfortable. All in all an enjoyable weekend and would recommend [sic] this to others.
