Reviews

Though yet to be widely reviewed, The Georgetown Restaurant was awarded 3.5/5 by satiated TripAdvisors. While opinions have varied at times, diners noted the food and friendly service, as well as the restaurant’s striking setting and decor.

The restaurant itself is welcoming, with lovely views over Colwick Park, and the staff are incredibly friendly. For a starter I had an amazing Laksa, which was full of flavour and really whetted my appetite.

The beef rendang was almost as good as I'd had in Malaysia, and the other dishes-particularly the lamb-were just as great. The pineapple dessert was brilliantly simple but gorgeous. The setting is beautiful too-in the Colwick Hall hotel, overlooking the racecourse, backed by the river and decorated in 'colonial' style.
