One, two, or four contestants should wear stretchy pants and lose the belt when they take part in this month’s Man vs. Southbank food challenge: to eat, in its entirety, a tower of ten American-style pancakes, piled high with blueberries, strawberries, sugar, whipped cream, and maple syrup. Those skilful enough to demolish the stack and complete the challenge will win a T-shirt and certificate, not to mention the pride and glory of achieving a feat that only one person has accomplished thus far.

Decent bar, ideally located on the edge of Trent Bridge. A good place to enjoy a prematch pint before watching any if the local sports teams needs that play nearby (football, cricket, rugby). Can get pretty busy though so turn up early if you want a seat.
