A relaxing spot for the savouring of freshly-cooked Italian fare, this family-friendly Mediterranean eatery dishes up arrabiatas and insalatas prepared in the traditional way. One of three Nottingham branches, Piano Radcliffe welcomes taste buds to dance in a simply-styled space where a piano lounges in the corner with a well-stocked wine rack. The culinary show put on by chef and piano can be reached with a roughly 20 minute drive from the city centre, with free parking keeping cars in engine-warmed comfort.

Whetting appetites with an appetiser of olives (£3.60), diners can then tuck into main courses with either a starter beforehand or desserts to close the meal. Savoury tastes will be satisfied beginning with a dishe such as gamberoni grande, six king prawns cooked with lemon, garlic and white wine (£8.90) or perhaps the chicken salad (£8.60). The main event is amply filled with belly-fillers like the gamberoni, seven king prawns cooked in white wine and lemon sauce on a bed of creamy risotto (£17.90); and salmon dijonese, a salmon fillet with Dijon mustard, onions, sun-dried tomatoes and a white wine sauce (£13.90). The dessert selection comprises a sweet assortment of classic Italian puds, like old favourite tiramisu (£3.50), and meals will be topped off with a cup of coffee (£2.50) each , leaving customers full and also in possession of a £10 voucher per couple towards their next visit.

Reviews

Piano Radcliffe has attracted a number of handsome reviews, and customers celebrate in particular the welcoming ambience, quality of cuisine, and personable waiting staff.

Cafe Piano is a busy, friendly restaurant with a very welcoming feeling. Excellent food, pleasant and efficient staff - all in all a great evening. Will definitely return.

This is a small restaurant with freshly cooked food. My fillet steak was the best I have had for a very long time, all starts were large and tasty. My husband really enjoyed the taramosu [sic] and I had the cream ice-cream. The owner was charming and very helpful, even escorting us outside and chatting all the time. Would, and have, recommend Cafe Piano to all my friends. Would rate this 5 star on food and atmosphere, especially all the staff, very friendly. Will come again.
