Bed and breakfast make a good pair, just like Antony and Cleopatra, fish and chips, and a cool, temperate fruit-bearing climate. Cultivate a relaxing getaway with today's Groupon from Holmefield Guesthouse. Choose from the following options:
• £79 for a one night 5* stay for two people with two course dinner, glass of bubbly and breakfast (Up to 54% off)• £119 for a two night 5* stay for two people with two course dinner, glass of bubbly and breakfast (Up to 60% off)

Peering on the mountainous edges of the Peak District, this rural guesthouse has earned five twinkling stars from the AA by sprinkling lavish valley views with hospitable accommodation and hearty fare. The tall-standing Victorian manor boasts nine individually-decorated rooms and a restaurant whose locally-sourced offerings of chicken chasseur and venison casserole have accorded it plentiful praise. A lavishly-decorated guest lounge invites guests to warm themselves in front of a fire, while sunnier days can be embraced with a drink and a bask on the bar's sun terrace.

Each decadent room encompasses a goodly array of amenities, with well-stocked hospitality trays, bathrobes and TV/DVD players all meeting guests supping on welcome glasses of bubbly. The first evening's two course dinner will set district explorers up for a good night's rest. The morning's full English breakfast continues in line with the previous evening's flavoursome country fare, and may well persuade visitors to add a further night to their stay for £40.

This is a beautiful house in a stunning location. The owners were extremely friendly, warm and welcoming and we could have spent hours sitting out on the terrace with our Campari just staring at the view!

The accommodation was luxurious, the evening meals were fabulous and the views from the property are really beautiful. It was interesting to sit back and watch the steam trains going past the bottom of the grounds during the day.
