Leaving the golf course creaseless and warm to the touch is a sure sign that a golfer has used all nine irons. Flatten the competition with today's Groupon from Oakmere Park Golf Club. Choose from the following options:
• £36 for six 60 minute beginner or intermediate golf lessons plus 18 holes of golf (Up to 67% off)• £36 for four 90 minute advanced golf lessons plus 18 holes of golf (Up to 67% off)
With two free-draining heathland courses unrolled across acres of Nottingham's pristine countryside, the Oakmere Park Golf Club lays down a challenge for beginners, intermediate players and old hands alike. Each course measures up at over 6000 yards, and both have been carefully designed to throw up trees, gorse, and rascally hedgerows as players aim for pars of 72 and 73. The club’s spacious and well-stocked club house serves up a little post-play relaxation, and the floodlit driving range allows for big hitters to swing their way well into the twilight.
Focusing on beginner or intermediate players with a handicap of 18 or greater, six 60 minute lessons with a PGA pro will help sportspeople to find their sweet spot. After getting together in groups of up to eight, students will tackle topics including the full swing, irons and woods, chipping, putting, and bunker play. Alternatively, more advanced golfers with a handicap lower than 18 can opt for four 90 minute sessions, setting sights on the likes of long irons, fairway woods, fairway bunkers, and course management. Freshly tuned thwacking skills can then be put to the test with 18 holes on the Commanders course.
