With the lights dimmed and decorative Chinese lanterns peppering the ceiling, Opium serves up a fusion of award-winning atmosphere and cuisine. The menu presents a mixture of traditional and inventively modern Cantonese dishes which punctuate the air with appealing scents and tickle the palate with flavour.
Diners can tuck into a sea of starters ranging from minced prawn and pork with asparagus skewers (£4.50) to succulent spare ribs in a spicy piquant sauce (£6.00). With palates captivated and wonton more, an array of carefully crafted mains such as the rainbow duck in bird's nest (£12.50) or a juicy satay fillet steak (£12.90) await to fill stomachs. All main dishes will be served with a choice of flavourful rice or satiating noodle dishes (£3-£6.50) from a selection on the menu, and a sparkling glass of Prosecco will tickle each diner’s palates (£6).
