Bringing spice to Nottingham's centre, The Cumin is the next instalment of the successful Anand family's gastronomic story. The dining design is laid out over two floors and allows up to 74 guests to sample the traditionally Indian menu that's flecked with a taste of executive chef Shelley Anand's East African background. The Cumin has garnered a reputation that has seen it cater on Bollywood film sets and has played host to guests including cricketing curry connoisseurs Ian Botham and Nasser Hussain.
Eastern masterpieces will be made of two starters each, with choices including the deep-fried masala tilapia marinated in lemon and exotic spices (£4.95) or aloo tikka with pan-fried potato cakes, pomegranate seeds, chickpeas, yoghurt, mint, and tamarind sauce (£3.25). The main attraction could include the likes of the chicken malabari with mustard, curry leaves, and coconut masala (£5.45) or the tadka dal with yellow lentils dressed with cumin, red chilies and garlic (£3.95), and will be accompanied with a rice dish (up to £1.95) or a mini naan bread (£1.50).

A group of us ate at Cumin for my birthday...and it was fantastic, one of the best curry houses I've ever eaten in. First of all, and most importantly, the food...simply lovely.

We really enjoyed our meal and the whole experience at The Cumin. The style of the restaurant is classy and the food is so fresh and tasty. But most of all, the owners and staff are really welcoming and friendly which made our experience even more enjoyable.
