Although most birds are even-tempered by nature, the atonal nightingale still manages to ruffle a few feathers. Enjoy a more harmonious experience with today’s Groupon: £39 for a day of falconry and archery at Fallowfields Falconry.
Housing over 40 majestic birds of prey, Fallowfields Falconry offers educational feathered experiences within the idyllic grounds of Fallowfields Country House Hotel and its accompanying woodland. The friendly staff have a strong connection with their animals and thoroughly enjoy imparting their passion for birds of prey to visitors. A morning spent up close with the hawks, owls and falcons, followed by a choice of outdoor afternoon activities ensures that guests get to know more than just a word about the bird.

Spirits will begin to soar during a morning falconry experience that kicks off at 9.30am. Visitors will have the chance to witness the majestic flight of some primo winged beasts while being furnished with all manner of fascinating facts. Eager spectators can also opt to receive a well-trained owl on their fist, under the eagle-eyed supervision of an aviary stalwart. After a 45-minute lunch break, visitors will add another string to their adventurous bows with an afternoon of archery led by professional sharpshooter, Neil Holt. Sessions will include a history of the hallowed arrowed art, encompassing multiple styles such as the English long bow and the modern compound bow, before allowing participants to let fly at the bullseye.
