An old coaching inn perched on the banks of the Thames, The Red Lion Hotel is a picturesque residence that celebrates its Tudor heritage with antiquated decor and a roaring open fire. The red brick exterior is punctuated by blossoming wisteria and conceals handsomely furnished period features beneath. Dining guests are seated amid the colourful shrubbery of the countryside or in the airy dining room, where the spoils of locally-sourced and home-cooked fare awaken appetites.
Freshly prepared and brewed on the premises, this afternoon tea comprises a delicate selection of sweet and savoury goods to be enjoyed with a refreshing glass of bubbly, tea or coffee. Scones with cream and jam will be accompanied by flaky patisseries and tartlets as well as a plate of sandwiches with tasty fillings.
