Although Mexican waves make a fine visual spectacle, trying to surf one can result in being thrown out of most mainstream sporting events. Ride water-based ripples instead with today's Groupon: £36 for a two hour surfing lesson for two with full day board and wetsuit hire at Newquay Surfing School.
Run by a team of professional surfers imparting their passion and technical abilities, Newquay Surfing School helps wave-chasers of all levels to get on their feet and carve up the white stuff. With Surfing GB approved instructors, and a pro-surfer for head coach, students will learn from seasoned beach combers adept in conquering rip-tides and regularly hanging ten. All water-based whims are taken on-board, from one-off lessons to surfing breaks for aquatic holiday-makers.
With boards and wet-suit hire included for the full day, surf-seekers can focus on their water bound adventures under the watchful eye of a Surfing GB approved instructor. All ability levels will be catered for, with classes of up to ten shown how to adopt the correct footing, remain balanced, and ride a wave from crest to shore before inevitable water-pumping. Surfers with prior experience will be shown more advanced manoeuvres, with the emphasis remaining on fun and safety at all times.
