About the event
The big top rears its pink and yellow head in Simmons Park where Paulos Circus continues the century old institution of this family-run spectacle, leaping into its fifth generation of gasps, laughs, and airborne artistry. The tent’s interior bustles with balancing acrobats, daredevil trapeze artistes, and comedy mascot Patchy the Clown, with all the bells, whistles, and bright colours to oversized boot. Fire dancers share the stage with a hula hoop master, as the audience perch on the edge of their seats at this family-friendly circus extraordinaire.



With the 2012 tour sporting a brand new big top, fresh illusions, and sparkling gags, the performing team will be descending on Cornwall's countryside for the spring season. Bedtime-friendly matinees start at 2pm to allow little spectators a look-in, while the 7.30pm shows cater to a more grown-up crowd. The grandstand seats offer prime viewing, while steering clear of ringside attention from cheeky clowns and their buckets of water.
