Not to be confused with their trouble-making namesake, antipasti are perfectly happy to share a table with pasta, so long as the macaroni doesn't cheese off the provolone. Up the culinary ante with today's Groupon: £13 instead of £27.65 for a deluxe antipasti platter for two with a glass of wine each at The Chancel.
Serving up a carefully selected platter of fresh bites, as well as an expansive wine list, this new city centre venue offers a relaxed and hospitable environment for treating finely tuned palates. With 28 highly quaffable glass-filling options from famous wine regions around the globe, lovers of Italian, Chilean and purple grapean wines are sure to be appeased.
A pair of sharers can enjoy culinary togetherness with a deluxe antipasti platter for two at The Chancel. Comprising a mouth-watering array of charcuterie meats, olives, ciabatta and oils, tingling taste buds will be topped off with a choice of six house wines to accompany their food.
The restaurant has received high praise from TripAdvisor users who, along with naming The Chancel as the number 2 restaurant in Plymouth also scored a salivating 4.5/5. Diners noted the friendly welcoming service, as well as the excellent quality food and relaxing atmosphere.
The food was stunning; the atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back. We could've spent another few hours sipping wine but unfortunately our babysitters won't have appreciated that [sic]. We had the seafood platter, which was some of the nicest cooked fish I have had! I didn’t usually like squid or calamari but this was cooked so well that it melted in the mouth! We had a wee cheeky dessert each and very sssooo [sic] impressed with the quality of that too!

A friendly welcome when we walked in was followed by continued friendly and efficient service throughout. We had the house tapas. There was plenty of it, every dish was delicious, just like the sort of food we love to cook and eat at home but without the fuss and mess to clean up afterwards.
