Seasoned by the elegant authenticity of wall-hanging Venetian masks, the family-run Veneziana Italian Restaurant combines traditional recipes with locally sourced ingredients at their city centre location. Beautifully presented banquets could lead the way with the cheese and Parma ham board (£10.20) or deep-fried calamari with garlic mayonnaise and sweet chilli syrup (£6.50). The parade of Italian flavours may come in the shape of pan-fried wild sea bass with olives, pine kernels, and lemon (£18.85) or veal medallions served with mushrooms, shallots, parsley, and garlic in a white wine sauce (£17.95), while pasta options include the likes of the pennette arrabiata with bacon, chilli, and tomatoes (£9.75). A sweet ending will materialise with a dessert, with choices including chocolate fudge cake (£4.95) and crème brûlée (£3.95).

Reviews
Veneziana Italian Restaurant was rated a toothsome 4/5 by TripAdvisors. Diners were particularly impressed by the restaurant’s striking decor, along with the range and quality of the menu.
We walked in and found it was very Venetian in style red walls but with the Venetian masks decorating the walls it wasnt overpowing and felt very Italian [sic]. The food was amazing! Beautifully prepared and presented and the flavours just burst on your tongue.

The menu was exciting, a wide choice of starters and desserts, main menu split between pasta chicken veal steak lamb and fish.[sic] Excellent choice and all courses we ordered were delicious.
