With lessons in scuba diving, kayaking, and canoeing, Adventure College teaches land lubbers to take to water with all the gusto of a juvenile seal. The five-star PADI centre welcomes water-babies and seasoned pros alike, with first aid courses offered alongside the more lighter-based surface skimming of zorbing around.
Hopping off the M27 at Junction 12, or jumping off the train at Cosham rail station, soon-to-be-water-tredders can arrive at the adventure centre next to Hilsea Lido. Socks and shoes will be left behind to let feet go commando, as bodies clamber inside a zorb which will then be released on to the water. The 15-minute session will see the human-sized hamster balls enabling man and woman to finally walk on water.
