Reviews
The Hermitage Country House has received plenty of very encouraging reviews. The hotel is rated an impressive 4.5/5 stars by TripAdvisors, and 95% of Late Roomers state they would stay again. While some visitors found décor slightly dated, reviews are overall very positive, heaping particular praise on the relaxing atmosphere and high standard of customer service.
Great accomodation. Staff extremely friendly and offered an excellent service. The house is in the middle of no-where, so take a map with you in order to find it as our Sat Nav didn't recognise the post code!!! The food was of a high standard and very enjoyable. We didn't need to go anywhere else to eat and were happy to relax back at the house after a day out exploring. Would definitely recommend. [sic]

Although a little hard to find, it was worth looking for. A beautiful country house set in impressive grounds. All you could hear were the birds singing. A truly lovely setting. We stayed for two nights and had our dinner both nights in the hotel. Good standard of food in a well situated dinning [sic] room. The service was very good ... We enjoyed both meals. The breakfast was excellant [sic] and set you up for the day. We stayed in the Regency room which is a very large rear facing room. The room and bathroom were both delightful. The only complaint was the rather old television. All in all a lovely stay..
