Having trained swathes of aquatic adventurers during its 15 years of service, Bolton Area Divers has surfaced as a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. Offering courses from Discover Scuba to Divemaster in locations from swimming pools to the open sea, the staff teach the art of Atlantis-seeking to all over the age of ten.
Instructors will take would-be mermen and mermaids through the ins and outs of scuba diving in confined water. The professionally accredited PADI Open Water Referral Course entails sessions on three consecutive Saturdays. After an introduction and first wetsuited plunge on the first day, the next two will be divided into morning classroom sessions which will teach the equipment used and the basic techniques of breathing underwater. Afternoon pool sessions follow in their wake, in which students will learn how to submerge safely, use the scuba gear, and adapt to an aquatic environment.
