A listed building and antique centre set amidst the stunning hills of the Lancashire countryside, this impressive edifice boasts a 40 seat tearoom decked with a new conservatory and intricate stone work. Formerly a church, the building is now home to a wide range of antiques, collectables, ceramic art, and other items all bursting with historical stories. The tearoom is delicately peppered with cake stands for afternoon tea and scones and the menu is full of hearty main meals, jam packed sandwiches, and refreshing salads.
Lining stomachs for the day ahead, twosomes can tuck into a hearty full English breakfast with a choice of scrambled or fried egg, locally sourced pork sausages, bacon, mushrooms, black pudding, and beans plus a side of toast with butter. The other tempting option comes in the form of smoked salmon and scrambled egg served on either a bread roll or toast. These champion breakfasts are available on weekdays only.

It’s the sort of place where you can have a full meal if you want or just a coffee and a bite. The view is a little disconcerting at first but with the hills looming above the graveyard there’s actually something strangely appealing about it.
