The menu traverses India, offering ravenous tums the finest traditional cuisine and chefs are always happy to adhere to special requests and dietary requirements. Romantic dinners and friendly get-togethers are all welcomed in this airy eatery, with an upstairs available for large groups and a well-stocked bar to suitably moisten arid mouths.
A pair of gastronomes with a taste for the exotic can enjoy an Indian banquet with each diner tucking into a main, starter, rice or naan, glass of wine, and a side to share. Salivating starters include tandoori chicken (£3.95) and the plethora of main attractions includes lamb jalfrezi (£8.50) and prawn biryani (£9.95). The selection of sides features mushroom bhaji (£3.95), and diners can also choose from plain or pilau rice or any naan bread, and a splash or two of house wine to cool tongues.
Though still waiting to be widely reviewed, Gurkha Square received encouraging scores of 4/5 from an enthusiastic Qyper and 3.5/5 from initial TripAdvisor reviews. Diners complimented the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the Nepalese and Indian cuisine.
The food is great, the naan is fluffy and buttery and there are a great deal of vegetarian options. We will definitely head back next time.

When my brother comes from Brazil, he heads straight to the Gurkha Square to have Lamb Bhuna. It’s delicious, and probably the best in town.
