The pub radiates quintessential countryside traditions, charmed with a rich inner life of cart wheels rolling towards quaint fire places and sleepy wooden beams yawning across stooped ceilings.
With £20 to spend towards feastings, the likes of pesto and white wine doused scallops with crispy Parma ham (£8.95) can be snaffled up, with garlic and cream Bantry Bay sourced mussels (£7.50) also holding up the seafood selection. Oven baked camembert with sweet red onion (£6.95) add a touch of French flavouring to the menu, while spicy chorizo with creamy feta (£5.95) are inspired by Spanish influences. The food couldn't have been better. We finished everything! The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. I could go on and on about the lovely evening we had and we will most definitely going back soon.
