At the centre of all things sweet and gooey, Cafe Central is a Matlock based bistro cafe with a touch of savoury on their Italian-inspired menus alongside their sweet tooth pleasers. The family-run team also whips up cakes for special occasions and passes on their culinary knowledge in a range of workshops that cover all and everything from simply decorating classes to baking-from-scratch to put the icing on the cake.
Pinning on the pinnies, the bakers will instruct classes in the arts of producing old fashioned confectionery. Students will be kitted out with all the ingredients and tools to make the likes of fudge, truffles, and toffee under the watchful eyes of the confectionary connoisseurs. By the end of the three hour workshop a gift box of handmade sweeties will be ready to take home, if they can make the journey without being snaffled up.
