Reviews
The Edge Climbing Centre is given an overall rating of 5/5 stars by the UK-Climbing-Wall-Guide. The climbing reviewer rates everything from routes to management and facilities, but summarises as follows:
The Edge in Sheffield is a very unique wall with its two walls which have adjustable overhangs. They tend to start the day as a vertical slab and can be adjusted by requesting the change at reception. One wall goes to about a 10 degree angle while the other goes to a massive 45 degrees of overhang. All the climbing is in one hall and there are plenty of routes to go at though the kit area in the middle can get a bit crowded. They are quite strict on ensuring you are a competent climber so check up on your tying in and belaying before you go. This is a fine wall and well worth travelling some distance to visit.
