The Orchid team boasts experience rustling up pad Thais and concocting curries from back in the old country, before they brought their culinary expertise to Sheffield.
Diners with an appetite for colourful cuisine can enjoy a taste of Southeast Asia, with a starter, main, rice dish, and dessert adorning each patron’s placemat. Starters incolude Tom yum talay or tom kha gai, and the selection of curried and pan fried mains includes gaeng phed ped yang, a red curry with roasted duck and tropical fruit (£7.95), and pud num man hoy, stir fried beef chicken or pork in oyster sauce (£7.95). We visited on a tuesday and it wasn't busy, just a few other people, so there was a nice atmosphere. The place itself is nicley decorated, warm and friendly, service was good and about the right speed. [sic]
