With edible influences sneaking in from French, Italian, and Spanish cuisine, the establishment puts a Great British Wimbledon Hill spin on continental and Mediterranean bites. The carefully crafted menu features locally-sourced produce, with hand-made sausages and London brewed beer and gin on the agenda. Nestled a two-minute amble from Wimbledon train station, the restaurant seeks to amuse bouches with all three daily culinary occasions duly represented. 
Two or four trendsetting diners can dig in to a taster menu, offering five courses of fine morsels to dazzle the taste buds with a flavoursome showcase. The ‘A Taste of 40’ menu aims to send guests on a sensual journey through the seafood realms of pan-fried scallops, to the hearty earth-bound Dexter onglet steak. The food and drink at 40 the Hill is excellent; and with the Championships on the horizon and the focus firmly on London for the summer, you’d do well to take the tube to enjoy something special.
