When clueless photographers are told they need to improve their focusing, they are liable to stare intently at the end of a pencil for hours. Take a more constructive course with today’s Groupon: £34 for a photography and camera workshop with Michael Miller Photography.
Having finely focused his snapping skills through a degree and 15 years in the profession, the fruits of Michael Miller’s longstanding passion for photography extend to interiors and landscapes, families and fashion, and architecture and weddings. This workshop will show the ropes and fiddly little switches of using cameras in manual mode, helping pupils to take full control of their equipment and become familiar with how the more enigmatic settings can transform an image.
Lasting up to two hours, flashy protégés will learn various photographic techniques while steering clear of technical jargon. Putting theory into practice, participants will shoot their own images under Miller’s direction, then view the resultant photos in the studio. Taught in gaggles of up to ten fascinated faces, the course is aptly suited for newbies and those who want to get to grips with a newly acquired, more complex camera.
