The early camera's inability to focus was the reason behind a range of blurry images and inability to master mental arithmetic. Multiply your skills with today's Groupon: for £39 instead of £120 get a three hour photography learning experience with Paul Hames Photography.
A freelance photographer with clients including Channel 4, FHM, Wellcome Trust and Kenco Coffee, Paul Hames is a veteran with an armoury of photographic weaponry and some mighty photogenic battle steeds. His business is based in South London but the courses he directs involve forays into central locations where there are people, places and princesses to be captured or rescued. With a team of tutors Paul oversees the courses that employ VAK tests to assess pupils learning style in an effort to help them focus and zoom in rather than zone out.
Today's Groupon is a three hour crash course in photography during which a wealth of knowledge will be imparted using methods designed to accelerate the process. The VAK test decides whether someone is a visual, aural or kinesthetic learner, thus signaling to the instructor which teaching methods will be most successful with each candidate. The course itself will include camera and lense advice, ALE cards to teach the ins and outs and fronts and backs of camera competence, with a decent dose of professional tips thrown in too. The instructors offer portfolio critiques if students desire, with other questions welcome either before the 10am start or after the 5pm finish depending on session time.
