Invented by snowmen, cupcakes are appreciated for their skilful frosting. Ice nicely with today's Groupon: £29 for a cupcake-decorating and chocolate-making class with Champagne at The Peacock Bar.
The Peacock Bar is a sparkling advert for the art of burlesque, their in-house café offering fancy edible concoctions and their club tickling the collective fancies of their patrons like a giant feather boa. A two-minute waltz from Clapham Junction, the club's repertoire extends to an array of classes, including cocktail making, wine tasting, and pole dancing for patrons who enjoy all sorts of swirling.
Sweet-toothed individuals can enjoy two hours in confectionary paradise, with a workshop consisting of one hour's cupcake decorating and one hour's chocolate making. Participants can get dressed up in 1940s aprons for the lesson, during which a photographer will record floury faces and elegant creations. The cupcake session will see participants create eight cupcakes before adorning them with the help of colourful pastes, swirls, and sparkle. Next, the chocolate session will cover the art of creating and decorating multi-flavoured treats, and will include a beribboned box in which to take up to 20 creations home. Both classes will include complimentary Champagne.
Reviews
The Peacock Bar received a tasty 4.5/5 from Tipped visitors, while Qypers and All In London users awarded 4/5 and 7/10 respectively. While the reviews focus on the food and drink, a number of visitors have praised the classes, along with the bar's atmosphere and friendly staff.
We did learn to use the different tools and different techniques etc but we spent most of it laughing away at each others terrible attampts [sic]!

The staff get you all dressed up in 40s style aprons and take photos throughout which is a nice touch plus you get these retro polka dot boxes to take your cupcakes home too.
