Uncovering historical facts while exploring hidden urban treasures, the mobile challenges from UK: The Game offer cellular learning experiences for teams, families, and day-trippers. Sending riddles, trivia, and directions to mobile phones, the staff create a maze of clues that lead customers through the heart of cities into restaurants, out through hotels, and alongside obscure nooks and crannies. The treasure hunts can be taken at any pace for city-dwellers and tourists alike, with games available for one year after purchase.
Eager groups of two or four can choose between mysterious and exciting mobile treasure hunts seven days a week in three Central London districts. Sartorially savvy customers can choose to slither through the vibrantly packed streets of Covent Garden, meeting a cast of characters as the sights include the Royal Opera House, London's oldest restaurant, and the Savoy Hotel. Politics enthusiasts can witness the majesty of Wesminster, its famous Abbey and the nerve-centre of the British government. History buffs can opt to enjoy over a thousand years of tradition with the City of London game, which covers facts about the Great Fire and bustles through the heart of Roman city with stops at the Bank of England and the Royal Exchange. Each tour takes approximately two to three hours.
Though still waiting for extensive review, UK: The Game was rated 4.5/5 by touring TripAdvisors. Reviewers praised the ease of participation, as well as how informative they felt their games were.
I'd recommend the game. It's easy to use, younger people stay engaged because it's all on a mobile phone ("the texts are coming back instantly, this is great") and gives you great purpose and structure for a visit, rather than wondering around or only having one or two places to go on your schedule.

As we started, we didn't quite know how it would work but we would get texts with a clue/ task and we had to find it the answers or complete the task. You text back the answers. If you get stuck, you can get hints as well. It is quite a clever game, actually, as it is responds to your texts, etc. instantaneously. I learned interesting trivia about the Covent Garden area and found some hidden nooks as well.
