Without photography skills, art galleries would be dire places filled with images of blurry hands, the inside of lens caps, and family members captured mid-blink. Bring snapping skills into focus with today’s Groupon: £59 for an all-day beginners’ DSLR photography course at LA Studios.
With reels of expert snapping savvy, LA Studios’ international team of professionals have over 76 years of experience between them, lending their skills to a range of services from website design to video and sound services. A team of in-house stylists, professional photographers and graphic retouching help eager posers look their best, while a range of courses is available for those who long to get behind the camera. Based in the idyllic environs of the Greenwich Peninsular, the company offers tip top shutter clicking opportunities both in its modern studios and out and about in the surrounding area.
Snapshot novices can be taken out of the dark and into the flash-bulb lit brightness with an intensive six hour course. The course covers digital SLR photography basics such as understanding ISO and camera modes and menus, allowing clients to get to grips with the ins and outs of their fancy cameras. The flash bulb frivolities will kick off with two hours of theory followed by two hours of studio snapping, before students finally nip outside for two hours of on-location shooting amid the hustle and bustle of the Greenwich peninsula.
The course covers:
Getting to know your camera and camera modes
Understanding ISO and how to use it
Understanding aperture and how to use it
The effect of different shutter speeds
An introduction to white balance and how to use it
Depth of field and how to use it
Tips on photo composition
