A menu’s throw from Clapham Common, The Establishment is a modern British eatery vivaciously stirred with gourmet grub, a plush lounge bar, and an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining. Peppered with dark wooden interiors, chandeliers, and framed vintage photographs, the restaurant’s ever-changing seasonal menu is infused with tender cuts of lamb, duck, and steak, as well as freshly-prepared seafood. Glasses are also kept topped up with colourful cocktails, imported wines, and globe-trotting beers.
Setting the scene, prologues may include the crab linguini with brown crab butter, herbs and a touch of chilli (£8.50), or pan-roasted duck livers served with roasted shallots and crostini (£7.50), before the medley of main courses take centre stage. Culinary performances may reach high drama with the 10oz rib-eye steak drizzled in a sauce of choice and paired with crispy chips (£22) or roasted lamb shoulder with piperade, goats cheese tortellini and olives (£16). Meals will meet their climax with a glass of house wine (£4.50), and can be sweetened with a desirous selection of desserts for an additional fee.
