Owned by acclaimed restaurateur Robert Thompson, The Hamrough is part of the chef’s luxury accommodation and fine dining enterprise. Each of the hotel's seven rooms has been awarded 5 AA stars due to stunning sea views of Ventor Bay or the countryside aspect over St Boniface downs, and The Hambrough restaurant downstairs gleams with one star acknowledgement from Michelin. Nestled a hop, skip, and jump from the beachfront, the hotel is also within a few sandy footprints of its sister restaurant, the Pond Cafe.

My wife and I had a wonderful weekend in the Isle of Wight as part of our Silver Wedding Anniversary celebration. We have stayed at the Hambrough before and its a wonderful oasis of calm in a busy world. The food as ever was tremendous.
