Chalking up a birdie requires a good swing, a bit of luck and a large quantity of calcium carbonate. Go back to the drawing board with today’s Groupon: £24 for a full day of golf for two with a bacon roll and coffee at Wildwood Golf and Country Club.

Rolling green lands and shimmering lakes are pieces that fit perfectly in this private course jigsaw which was fitted together by renowned golf architects Hawtrees for a swinging diversity of play. Two cavernous clubhouses framed by wooden beams and cosy nooks give putters an atmospheric area to take a break while observing unsuspecting rivals at play from the terrace. The indoor academy and driving range provide dry cover for warm-ups and lessons in long shots and pop song miming using the club as a microphone.

Perhaps choosing to start on the par three course, golfers will be able to warm up with a host of exciting holes over water. After that, the Woodland and Parkland courses offer strategically placed water features and well protected greens, while the Lakes course is full of dramatic drives and challenging holes. With each course finishing up at the clubhouse, long drivers can enjoy a sit down with a sizzling bacon roll and well-deserved steaming cup of coffee.
Reviews
A Google Mapping golfer rates the Wildwood Golf Club 4/5 stars. Other golfers shared positive comments about the course’s condition as well, although felt prices to be a bit dear.
I`ve gotta say we`ve played all the loops at Wildwood in different formats 5 or 6 times now. This year we`ve played there 3 times , the best format for us being A and C and we all think Wildwood was in great condition.
