About the event
From the excited sizzle of TV and Michelin-starred chefs, to delicate piles of artisan cakes, Foodies Festival celebrates an edible world of epicurean delight. Each hour of the day will fill with a mix of demonstration, inspiration, and exhibition, with the seasoned scents of food from all over the world, and just around the corner, billowing through Hove Lawns. The Cooking for Kids theatre will inspire tomorrow's chefs, while today's aficionados can touch up skills at one of the masterclasses. The fine efforts of farmers in the area will be on show at the local produce market, and a World Food Pagoda will offer a showcase of tasty treats hailing from as far and wide as Paris and Phuket.

Other attractions
Sometime sommeliers can stroll over to the wine village, where producers from across the globe will have gathered to offer a sniff and a swill of their best tipples. A live music stage will provide entertainment throughout the day, and exhausted festival goers can lie back on the grass and let the sun warm their grinning tummies.

Reviews
The travelling Foodies Festival has proven to be a hit with food bloggers such as Nielsen Cerbolles, and has also been mentioned in publications such as The Guardian. Reviewers pointed out the range of things to see and do (and taste) for the whole family.
Foodies markets itself as a "day out for all the family", which here means packing the kids off into a junior cooks masterclass while you sample canapés and caviar, or loiter discreetly near the Veuve Clicquot tasting tent.
– Jess Bowie, Guardian, May 2009
If you still can’t get enough of food, you can watch top chefs prepare and cook up quality dishes and even get the chance to pick up some cooking skills through their masterclasses.
