About Tutbury Castle
First mentioned on parchment scribbles dating back to 1071, Tutbury Castle still stands, having witnessed an exciting history involving royal captives, decadent feasts, and Civil War sieges. The castle boasts an elegant tea room, expansive grounds, and a time-tested great hall, and is believed to be haunted by the armour-clad keeper and other apparitions. As well as welcoming thousands of visitors each year, the castle is host to a number of excavation projects; with each scrape uncovering more of the site’s colourful and important past.
About the Event
Groups of four will be greeted as revered guests to spend a day among these noble knights and fairytale characters of old. The camp will be bustling with life throughout the day, with fairies taking residence and readings available in the ancient Great Hall. Other activities available include a balloon race, mini pet farm, Golden Goose egg hunt, and crafts, with donkey rides and face painting for additional charge.

A great castle in an outstanding spot, commanding views across some of Englands beautiful countryside. If you take the time to look in to it Tutbury has a wealth of history that is very very interesting, including the resident ghosts!
