About Laser Tattoo Removal
This treatment is designed to return ink-stained skin to a blank canvas using specially designed lasers. Q-Lasers are the most common, and are designed to break down colouring by reacting with the ink pigments. A number of sessions may be needed depending on the size and colour of the tattoo in question. Bright colours and UV inks usually require more attention than their dark ink counterparts.
The Merchant
Equating the body with a mixed media canvas, the skilled artists at Bubblegum Ink paint tattoos and place piercings with creative precision. The tattooists fashion designs using computer software and custom artwork, or can use images drawn or described by customers. Piercings are available, and the centre has a large stock of body jewellery. As well as giving, the facility also taketh away with a laser removal section, which tends to needs such as tattoo and IPL hair removal.
The Session
The treatment will be preceded by a consultation and patch test, after which the first session will begin if the customer is found to be suitable. Creations up to 5.5 x 5.5” in size can be tackled, with each session lasting around 15 to 30 minutes. Two more sessions will follow, with four to six weeks between each.
Aftercare
Immediately after and on the days following treatment, an antibiotic cream must be applied to the skin. Scabs are possible but should not be picked at or scratched. The skin must also be protected against the sun with a total sunblock during the entire duration of treatment.
