Keeping the Chinese cuisine-cravings of the people of Burton-on-Trent at bay for over 30 years, Kwei Ping Restaurant serves authentic Oriental food in a lively setting. Freshly-made meals are prepared to order and served up in the scarlet-clad restaurant, and can also be ordered as takeaways for home-based munching. Sundays see the restaurant play host to a taste bud-tingling feast in the form of a lunch buffet service, and meals can be accompanied by a crisp range of beers and wines.

First courses are composed of a chosen soup each, from a selection of chicken and mushroom, chicken and noodle, or vegetarian. In hot pursuit, a second starter is shared between two, and could be flavoursome morsels such as spare ribs (£5.30) or spring rolls (£3.80). The final dish is the main event, with a chicken or beef dish each such as chicken with fresh ginger and spring onion, served sizzling on a heated cast iron dish (£8.90); or a tender beef with green peppers in a black bean sauce (£8.90).
