Cooking up a vibrant platter of Asian cuisine, Thai Manor is an elegant restaurant that brings a taste of Thailand to central Sunderland. Sat within an ambient interior of candles and curtains, diners will get their teeth into starters such as satay gai: marinated and grilled chicken in a peanut sauce; goong ham paa: a deep-fried prawn roll; and peek gai low dang: deep fried chicken wings in the house special sauce (all £4.95). Curry cravings can be cured with the choice of a chicken (£7.95), beef (£8.50), or lamb (£8.50) based main, including a classic gang panang red curry, the stir-fried pad bai graa prow, and the smooth gang mussaman.

Pleasantly met on arrive [sic], quite a good selection, wait was not too long, food presentation excellent and tasted as good as it looked. Price was reasonable. We will be going there more often.

We go often and really enjoy it. Very good food, curries and satay are really good. Great staff and lovely decor if you want to feel you have been somewhere special.
