Affiliated with The Best of Farnham, The Spotted Cow peeks out prettily from its woodland location as it serves up freshly-prepared pub fare and real ales. The modern eatery is encompassed by four acres of luscious green terrains, leaving diners spoilt for choice with home-made burgers, beer battered fish and chips, and creamy pasta dishes. While little ones can be kept amused in the pub’s own enclosed children’s garden, the establishment also welcomes pet pooches to their premises.
Bittersweet British symphonies could lead the way with breaded prawns served with a sweet chilli dip (£7.95) or creamy garlic mushrooms on toasted bread (£6.75), before making way for the main event. Dishes may include the likes of the lamb shank dressed in a mint and rosemary sauce and served with fresh vegetables (£14.25), the glazed ham with fried eggs (£9.95), or the spinach and ricotta tortellini with a creamy mushroom sauce (£9.95). Palates will be sweetened with a home-made dessert each (£5.50) and can be teamed with tipples for an additional fee.

The decoration is also very pleasant and the music discrete. We eat in many pubs in the Farnham area and this one provides, in my opinion, the most consistently enjoyable experience.
