With a name meaning 'whispering woods', Coed-y-mwstwr Golf Club tells tales of rolling countryside lined with mature horse chestnut trees and a walled garden that has been admired since the 19th century. The 18 hole course has been carefully developed over its 18 year history, today happily reclining across 5,738 yards with a par of 69. When bellies begin to rumble, a friendly clubhouse is on-hand with a range of hot meals for sinking hunger with a hole in one.
Groups of two or four can roll along to the course on the outskirts of Bridgend, and embark on one round of golf, getting skills in swing while sampling views across the countryside. Once the final hole has been conquered, victors can enjoy a steaming cup of tea or coffee in the clubhouse.
Coed-y-Mwstwr has received plenty of encouraging reviews, and GolfShakers awarded the club a favourable 4/5 stars. Golfers particularly appreciate the varied and challenging nature of the course, the helpful staff and quality of club facilities.
Great course especially considering parts of it are only three years old. Greens are superb and consistent. Hilly to start but flattens out later, but then this is what makes for such interesting holes. Very friendly clubhouse.

A real gem of a course this, the recently added holes 1-6 are great and require a fair amount of guile to play to one's handicap and the rest of the course includes some tricky holes and very tricky greens. The fairways are in especially good condition and the members are very friendly, only too willing to lend a helping hand if necessary. Highly recommended – can’t fault it.
