A country retreat can make for a relaxing few days, but it can get a bit stressful as entire forests flee from towering mountains. Make a break for it with today's Groupon from Tafarn-Y-Deri. Choose from the following options:
• £37.45 for an overnight country break for two with breakfast and a bottle of wine (Up to 50% off)• £60 for a two night country break for two with breakfast and a bottle of wine (Up to 57% off)
A classic country tavern heading up the rural village of Llanedi, Tafarn-Y-Deri sports comfily lavish rooms, cosy oak décor, and hefty portions of home-made grub. The restaurant dishes out Sunday roasts and classic British fare alongside a handful of curry options and delectable desserts, with ample options for fussy munchers or specific dietary requirements. Perched opposite the village green, the sleepery’s stained glass windows offer views of quaint countryside as guests sup on real ale or their tipple of choice from the snuggly bar.
Mini-breaking teams can check in to a swanky en suite double or twin room, settling in and supping on a bottle of house wine with a side order of fresh air. With many a country ramble up for grabs, Llanedi offers ample opportunities for a cuddle with Mother Nature, while Llanelli and Swansea both sit a swift drive away. Sunrises bring full Welsh breakfasts, cooked to order and lovingly tweaked to take account of personal preferences, particular diets, and the whimsical feel of the morning.
Reviews
Tafarn-Y-Deri received a plush 4.6/5 from Book Direct Rooms users, while well rested TripAdvisors awarded 4/5. Though guests noted the quality of the food, special mentions went to the attentive, friendly service and the convenient location.
Good location for driving to the coast or the Brecons. We booked B & B [sic] but then discovered the place had a large restaurant; good food and a comfortable bar. Big selection on menu so ate in all 4 [sic] nights. A very popular place.

Tafarn y deri [sic] is a restaurant in the quiet village of Llanedi, about a 5 minute drive from the M4 and has good public transport links - the local bus to Swansea stops right outside the restaurant - but saying that, you can neither see or hear the motorway and there is no traffic noise from local traffic.
