Winners of the 2011 Just Eat Cup and nominated for the Best South Asian Restaurant award in the Tiffin Cup 2006, Aby's Indian Experience aims to please even the most refined of palates with fiery subcontinental cuisine and innovative spice concoctions. Like a back-flipping gymnast, the team of chefs incorporate traditional moves with innovative new creations, looking to score the perfect ten with banquet nights. The restaurant welcomes patrons with chic decor and azure tones, while also silencing bellies on the move with takeaways.
Cartwheeling into the Faringdon Road culinary castle, hungry groups of two or four can enjoy two courses of Indian cuisine prepared by the resident team of award-winning chefs. Guests can begin with a choice of starter such as onion bhaji (£2.25), sheek kebab (£3.25), or chicken tikka (£3.25), before sinking teeth into a main from a selection that includes lamb biryani (£7.50), vegetable dansak (£6.95), and lamb tikka (£8.95). Ensuring that tongues are well and truly tingled, the restaurant also offers guests a choice of naan or rice each, as well as a pick each from a selection of sides, all washed down in style with a glasses of house wine.
Reviews
While yet to be widely reviewed by visitors, Aby’s Indian Experience has received some encouraging 5/5 reviews from Google users who were keen to compliment the restaurant’s attentive service and the quality of the Indian cuisine.
We were never left waiting and wondering whether someone would come to take our orders, service was astonishingly prompt and the food was delicious. Probably one of the best curries I ve [sic] had outside India.
