Inspired by the heaving breakers of nearby White Pebble Bay, the Victorian villa of The Elmfield proudly swells with its classical boutique interior design, acres of garden and indoor heated swimming pool. Standing even taller, its two ceremonial suites loom, boasting the luxury of striking four poster beds, flat screen TVs with freeview, and DVD and CD players. In the meantime, nine further rooms, neat little z-beds and stowed away mattresses emerge to make big days even bigger. As a tranquil draft puffs romantically in and around the hotel’s coastal location, couples looking for wedding day inspiration can have a chat with the hotel’s wedding planner, who can organise smores by the firepit, a Devonshire hog roast, or even an animal display from Exmoor zoo.
Whether planning a nuptial ceremony or civil partnership, twosomes will be helped on their way down the aisle by a personal wedding planner, who’ll help set up an indoor service, where use of the heated pool is included, or a garden ceremony by the hotel’s summer house and pool. The happy couple and up to 40 jolly guests will have exclusive use of the boutique venue on the day. Up to 30 further guests may be added for a surcharge. With hire of the reception area included, tables will be finished with white linen, crockery, cutlery and of course a glass of sparkling wine for each guest to slurp up, post-toasting. The provided tableware will help to dig into a rumble-allaying two course luxury buffet, or may be alternatively be abandoned for a poolside BBQ feast, using fresh ingredients where possible and with vegetarian options available. Once celebrants have refuelled and powered up for an evening pow-wow, the sound system will pump in the dancing area. Once a sweat has been broken, the newly married duo can head to their bridal suite to rest their heads until 11am the next morning, when they can devour the included breakfast.
