Having your cake and eating it too is said to be impossible; unless washed down by copious amounts of tea. Have it all with today's Groupon: £10 for traditional afternoon tea for two at The Bull Pen at Battlers Green Farm.
One of a rural spread of traditional stores set in Battlers Green Farm, The Bull Pen occupies a scenic and secluded spot in the fresh company of delicatessens and farm shops. The tea rooms' low oak beams and gingham curtains add to the quaint fashion of this recently refurbished shopping village where local produce and quality goods abound. With free parking, urban retreaters can pull up for an old-fashioned day of shopping, with flowers, tea, and vintage gifts all in the wicker basket.
A traditional afternoon tea for two comprises a delectable array of sweet and savoury goodies to be washed down with tea and coffee. Finger sandwiches and scones make up the savoury quota, and are served with strawberry and rose petal jam, passion fruit curd, and Devon clotted cream; while sugary snacks come in the form of the day's pastries and cakes.
Reviews
Many impressed visitors have penned positive reviews of Battlers Green, and TripAdvisors rate the farm an impressive 4.5/5 stars. While customers note that tea room service-times may lengthen during busier periods, write-ups are on the whole very positive. Particular praise is given to the quality of the tearoom’s food and its friendly atmosphere.
Battlers Green Farm is one of my favourite places to go… I love to visit the tea room for some lunch or some of their divine pavlova [sic]. The service is good and it is reasonably priced. Once I've had lunch it’s so lovely to have a mooch around the shops. A great community feel where everyone is so friendly!

Excellent and original shopping village, more than a dozen shops, local and fresh organic produce, unique shops not found on your everyday high street, arts and crafts. Great for an afternoon shopping and tea, does get busy at weekends, free parking.
