Synopsis
Bringing Charles Dickens’ last novel to life on the stage, this production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood fuses old traditions of music hall and pantomime to create a musical comedy that aims to bring closure to the prolific writer’s unfinished whodunit. Edwin Drood, a young orphan, mysteriously goes missing and is presumed murdered. The plot slowly unfolds, and it is the audience that eventually votes to decide how the play should end…

About The Event
The risqué musical has featured on Broadway and at the Landor Theatre in London, and is now back from another limited run this summer in the West End's Arts Theatre. Rupert Holmes’ show is critically acclaimed, having garnered a Tony Award for 'Best Musical' in 1986, and benefitting from five stars from What’s on Stage, and four stars from Time Out. Coronation Street fans will be thrilled that Wendi Peters stars.

The Venue
The independent Arts Theatre is in the heart of the buzzing West End, just a short walk from Leicester Square station. Individuals or duos can settle down in their seats for any performance until 17 June, be it an evening show or a matinee on a Thursday, Saturday, or Sunday. The theatre is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and guide and hearing dogs are welcome. A pre- or post-show visit to the tea room will satisfy appetites with hot drinks, cakes, and sandwiches.
