Taking a seat among the elevated antlers, diners are invited to sip on a glass of Prosecco as they prepare for the set menu. The Severn and Wye oak smoked salmon, served with capers and horseradish cream, makes a fine choice of starter, although guests with rich palates may opt for the chicken and snail pie. Colourful mains include pan fried fillet of rainbow trout, accompanied with butter sauce, as well as 12-hour slow-braised shoulder of Herdwick lamb with crushed potatoes and mint jus. The dessert menu provides a fitting finale, rounding off appetites with pear and frangipane tart, or vanilla crème brûlée.

The Cadogan Arms receives a hearty 3/5 stars from Time Out, a favourable 3.5/5 from TripAdvisors, a superb 9.3/10 from London Eaters and a glowing 5/5 from Time Outdiners. While some guests had a bit of a wait during busy periods, reviewers are keen to praise the standard of cuisine, inviting atmosphere and personable staff.

The service was impeccable from beginning to end and the waitress who served us gave us some great recommendations. The food was the best I've eaten in London for a long while. Decor really nice and a good atmosphere about the place. It really is a hidden gem!

We have visited this gastro pub many times over the past few years when in London and have always found it to be excellent. The service and food are great. We had booked for Sunday lunch on new years day [sic] and the roast beef was cooked to perfection! It is such a lovely pub with great staff who do all they can to make your visit enjoyable.
